Rome burns while Emperor Nero celebrates Avurudu after taking a break in China

These images, most appeared in various news channels portray the grim reality of the contemporary affairs of the failed state of Lanka. The photographs above show the two funerals, those of Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopullae’s and ‘Marathon Karu’s while the bottom ones show President Rajapakese in all smiles in China.

President Rajapakse also celabrated Avurudu in grand style at his ancestral place at Medamulana. It is unfortunate that most of the common people - the podi minihas’ - in Sri Lanka could not even afford to buy a new piece of cloth to their children because of the high prices. Presdient and his family surely lucky in that sense.
